A Raleigh-based fighter will pay the family $ 2,000 for the chance to let 100 cockroaches into their home.
Households in the United States are eligible, according to ThePestInformer.com. Up to seven homes will be selected for the 30-day cockroach eradication study, which the company says will be safe for family members and pets.

The purpose of the study is to determine how effective the new treatment for destruction is.
At the end of the 30-day period, if the new treatment does not work, cockroach infestation will be eliminated using traditional methods free of charge for the household, according to The Pest Informer.
Applicants must be 21 years of age or older and own a home (or have written approval from the owner).
If selected, households will not be allowed to use other destruction services during the survey.
