Nashville, Tennessee – Former President Donald Trump is irritating crowds across the country, suggesting he may run for president again in 2024.

Asked if he thought the Republican field for 2024 was frozen until Trump made a decision, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told Fox News “I’m not doing it.”

“President Trump was perfect, perfect for 2016. We needed that kind of break,” Pompeo said. “If I come to the conclusion that I am the right person to carry this mantle forward, I will go and try to pass this work on to the American people, starting with the great state of Iowa.

Pompeo, Trump and former UN Ambassador Nicki Haley delivered keynote speeches at the Faith and Freedom Coalition’s three-day conference on the road to a majority in Nashville.

This annual gathering of religious conservatives is designed to encourage Republicans ahead of this year’s by-elections. Asked about 2024, Pompeo and Haley say they have focused on helping Republicans win the race for Congress and governors across the country and will officially decide their political future after the midterm elections.

“I don’t think I have to make that decision until next year,” Haley told Fox News. “I have never lost a race. I will not start now. If there is room for me, I will give 1000% and we will finish it.”

“We will address this issue at the end of this year, the beginning of next year,” Pompeo said. “We will pray, we will work.”

Former Vice President Mike Pence, another expected contender for 2024, is particularly absent from this year’s conference. A source close to Pence said he had attended an Ohio energy roundtable and said he had recently joined the Coalition for Faith and Freedom in North Carolina. Coalition founder Ralph Reed said Pence was still very close to the organization.

Pence heard boos at last year’s conference after parting ways with Trump. Reed claims that there were a handful of vocal taunts at the time and that most of those who booed were not members of the coalition, especially those who “just registered and showed up and protested against him”.

“He is a dear friend of the Faith and Freedom coalition,” Reed told Pence. “He has spoken at many Faith and Freedom events in states across the country. He is always welcome here. He was invited this year. He will be invited again next year and will be invited again every year.”

Trump NOT IN THE BULLETINS, BUT PLAYS A KEY ROLE IN THE PRELIMINARY ROLE OF NEVADA, SOUTH CAROLINA

“Would anyone like me to run for president?” Trump asked the crowd during his keynote address on Friday. This caused the loudest applause in his speech. Trump has not yet officially announced a new presidential candidate.

Trump spent much of his address criticizing Pence for refusing to try to cancel the 2020 election and repeating baseless allegations of widespread voter fraud. Some high-ranking Republicans have publicly called on Trump to move beyond his 2020 loss and focus on high inflation and energy prices, as well as jumps on the southwestern border that have pushed down Democrats’ approval ratings.

Asked if Trump should stop talking about 2020, Hailey said it “depends on him” and that Trump is heartbroken by it. But we really need to focus on the fact that the American people are hurting, their wallets are hurting. “
