Rupert Murdoch and Jerry Hall are due to divorce in six years, according to a report.
The media mogul declared himself “the happiest man in the world” when he married the former supermodel in London in March 2016.
But the couple will split, the New York Times reported, citing two people familiar with the decision.
This will be the fourth divorce for the 91-year-old media titan.
There were no immediate details of an agreement between him and Hall, 65, who had previously been in a long-term relationship with Sir Mick Jagger, by whom she has four children.
However, this was not expected to affect ownership of Murdoch’s international business empire.
His family’s shares in the companies founded by Murdoch are in a managed trust.
The trust’s voting rights are shared with his four eldest children, Lachlan, Elizabeth, James and Prudence.
Murdoch and his family are worth $ 17.7 billion, according to Forbes.
