The peak start season of the world of cycling is approaching – and we can tell you to expect some big, big things on this side of the Tour de France, starting on Friday – with a lot of new things appearing from some big brands in the last week. Wow, wait … What’s this new Cannondale bike?
You have to be careful in life when you mix things from different genres. The world may be a better place after someone invented salted caramel, but no one cries for liver pie, right? It can go in both directions.
What does this have to do with bicycles? Well, Cannondale has just announced the all-new Moterra Neo EQ, which is an urban e-bike derived from its existing collection of e-mountain bikes Moterra Neo. Interesting.
“Born in the mountains and urban, he does everything,” says Canondale. “There is no longer a reason to choose between practical and fun or work and adventure… Moterra Neo EQ offers everything you need for urban mobility – it’s a hassle-free trip in the city and a fun, capable bike for a trail. This is Cannondale’s robust urban e-SUV. ”
Moterra Neo EQ is built with a RockShox 35 Silver R fork with 150 mm stroke – for comparison, the gravel-specific fork RockShox Rudy Ultimate XPLR is available in versions 30 mm and 40 mm – and 130 mm reverse. It is equipped with a 12-speed Shimano XT / Deore drive, a seat with a dropper and great tires with a width of 2.3 inches, all straight from the world of mountain bikes.
On the other hand, it also has some distinctly urban features: an integrated rear boot, full-coverage fenders – which we in the civilized world call fenders – and a footrest. You also get lights that are powered by a 750Wh battery, which also drives the Bosch SmartSystem on the engine.
The price is £ 5,500.

100% presents a limited edition collection of Peter Sagan 2022
Just before the Tour de France, 100% unveiled their latest collection of glasses with a series of green T-shirt winner Peter Sagan, who rides for Team TotalEnergies. The finish is said to be a tie design using the colors of the TotalEnergies logo. Given that the TotalEnergies logo is a fading affair, this is a fairly open task.
100% glasses S3, S2 and Speedcraft are included in the collection of a limited edition of Sagan for 2022. All of them are designed as effective glasses, unlike everyday styles, each coming with a mirror lens and a transparent lens.

Brooks presents the Cambium C17 Special LAB saddle
Speaking of limited edition stuff, Brooks has released its latest saddle: the Cambium C17 Special LAB.
Brooks says: “The C17 special lab features a limited topographic line design, along with the comfortable riding features that the Cambium is well known for.
We agree that the Cambium C17 is comfortable. When we reviewed it years ago, we called it a “wonderfully convenient fusion of classic ideas and modern materials.”

It has the same basic structure as the classic Brooks saddle, but instead of a sheet of leather at the ends of the rails, there is a combination of vulcanized natural rubber, cotton canvas and structural textiles for the upper.
The C17 Special Lab is priced at £ 120, available only through the Brooks website, compared to £ 105 for the C17 with standard coverage.

The new Ravemen light includes a computer stand
If you don’t want your handlebars to be cluttered and prefer to keep things tidy, the Ravemen releases a FR160 daytime running light that serves as a stand for your cycling computer.
The FR160 uses high-performance COB LEDs (max. 160 lumens) and a wide-angle lens and has an eye-catching flashing mode.
The lamp is compatible with Garmin and Wahoo computers and works with Garmin, Wahoo and Bryton computers. It has class IPX6, which means that it is protected from powerful water jets and more precisely from heavy rain.

See Miss Grape’s Mini Cluster bag
The Italian Miss Grape presented a saddle bag called Mini Cluster, which is made of light and waterproof fabric.
The Mini Cluster has a capacity of 50 cl and a stated weight of only 49 g. Miss Grape says it will hold a multi-tool, an inner tube and everything needed for a quick repair or an ultra-light windbreaker. It attaches to your saddle using Fidlock’s Winch system, so it’s quick to put on and take off.
Miss Grape says that the narrow profile means that the Mini Cluster does not interfere with the rotation of the pedals or, in this sense, the air profile of your bike.
Handmade in Italy and designed for road, gravel and mountain bikes, the Mini Cluster tool bag is priced at 55 euros (about 47 British pounds).

Bollé launches the C-Shifter glasses
Bollé has introduced new C-Shifter glasses with a half-rim frame made of TR90 nylon, which is designed to be light, flexible and comfortable. They follow the tendency to provide a large old shield for your eyes, using a wrap-around cylindrical lens that is ventilated to avoid fogging.
The tip of the nose and the temples are adjustable and use a thermoplastic rubber, which is designed to grip better in contact with water and sweat.
The C-Shifter comes with a Bolt Volt + lens. The French brand says that the Volt + “offers a 30% superb color enhancement to help you see colors you’ve never seen before, while maintaining white balance.”
In addition to improving colors, Bollé says the Volt + “offers high contrast vision, improved depth perception and highly effective polarization.”
Two frame colors are available with the classic Bollé lens for £ 115, while there are four frame colors with the polarized Volt + lens, each priced at £ 145.

La Passione reveals Striver ultralight clothing for REALLY hot weather
La Passione has launched an evolution of its Striver collection, which is designed to see you accurately, even if the mercury reaches above 30 ° C – which, of course, does not happen too often in the UK.
As the name suggests, Striver Ultralight clothing is made of one of the lightest fabrics and is designed to effectively disperse sweat.
