A street party on the occasion of the platinum anniversary in Leicestershire turned into a mass brawl, police revealed in the early hours of this morning.
Three people have been arrested for various alleged crimes after the event “grew into a big fight” involving more than 20 people. This prompted police to urge people to “drink responsibly”.
The local Charnwood neighborhood police team shared several details about the incident earlier today. They said they had been called in to help police teams from Northwest Leicestershire and the East Midlands Airport deal with the incident.
In a tweet in the early hours of Sunday morning, the cops in Charnwood, who did not reveal the location, said: “Tonight we helped @NWLeicsPolice and @EMAPolice with a street party, which turned into a big battle with over 20 people. Three arrested for various violations. Drink responsibly. “
