A WOMAN’s body was found in Basildon yesterday morning, Saturday 2nd July.
The body was found in Gloucester Park near Honeypot Lane and Butneys.
Police have cordoned off the area, and forensics are on the scene.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “We were called to Gloucester Park in Basildon at 9.10am yesterday, Saturday July 2, following concerns for the welfare of a woman.
“Sadly she was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Her death is being treated as unexplained and our inquiries are ongoing.”
