Heavy rain caused chaos in Saskatoon on Monday afternoon, with some streets flooded.
The strait caused flooding, at least temporarily, on Broadway and other parts of the city.
“Several of the canals are currently blocked and this is affecting the road,” said Brian Ross, who was inspecting the storm on Broadway Avenue.
“It’s a few feet [deep]”I think it’s a threat to human safety and traffic problems.”

Saskatoon police say they have sent numerous flood calls to Lorne Avenue and Exhibition Grounds Road, north lanes of Circle Drive near Taylor Street overpass, Circle Drive overpass and Idilwild, and several locations near Louise Street and Preston Drive.
Traffic restrictions to the south are in place for the right lane of Sid Buckwald Bridge, as city teams have been called in to repair the road, police said.
They ask residents to avoid these areas and be careful in other areas that are prone to flooding.
