Toby Keith has been diagnosed with stomach cancer. So far so good. I need time to breathe, recover and relax, “he wrote in a message also shared on Twitter.

However, he assured his fans that he would return to the stage after feeling better. “I look forward to spending time with my family. But I will see the fans soon. I can not wait. -T, ”he signed to his 795,000 followers.

His next show is coming soon: the singer of “Big Ol” “Truck” is to perform at RibFest in Illinois 2022 on Friday, June 17. Toby last released the album Peso In My Pocket in 2021, after a break during the COVID-19 pandemic. That same year, the 60-year-old received the National Medal of the Arts – described as “the highest award given to artists and art patrons by the United States government” – by former President Donald Trump. The award is more than deserved, given his achievements in music, which include 32 number one singles, including “Curtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American)” from 2002 after September 11. He has also toured 11 USOs in both Afghanistan and Iraq.
