There are certain Wordle answers you just can’t think of. The answer itself may be an extremely common word, but it simply won’t be your first, second, or third guess in Wordle. Today’s Wordle on May 19 is one of those words.
Again, this is not that it is a challenging word in any way, but it does have some qualities that can make guessing difficult. I started with my normal opening word and then kept trying to put in some of the letters I got correct. In my second guess, the middle three letters were placed correctly. However, from assumptions three to five, I kept confusing the first and last letter. In the sixth guess, I remembered the oldest trick in the Wordle manual and was able to find the answer right on the skin of my teeth.
