Toronto drivers should be aware of some major road closures in the city this weekend.
Don Valley Park will be closed to vehicles from York Mills Road to the Gardiner Freeway on Sunday, June 5, from 2 a.m. to 2 p.m., to hold Bike for Brain fundraising funds, a press release said.
The Gardiner motorway itself will also be closed between DVP and South Kingsway at the same time.
The closure is not limited to the city’s highways. Dundas Street West will be closed between Ossington and Landsdowne avenues, starting at 1 pm on Friday, June 3, until 1 am on Monday, June 6 for Do West Fest.
ActiveTO also takes place this weekend at The Meadoway, from Brimley Road to Scarborough Golf Club Road, from 7 a.m. Saturday to 7 p.m. Sunday.
Roads in High Park will also be closed to vehicles.
If you want to get through traffic this weekend, TTC is running almost full service, except for the closure of line 2 between Jane and Ossington stations and line 1 between Sheppard West and Lawrence West stations. There will be shuttle buses.
