Brighton vs. Man United: Photos
Boxing icon Tyson Fury has called on Manchester United players to retire after their humiliating defeat by Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday afternoon.
The Red Devils were comfortably defeated by the Chaika team, which found home victories difficult to achieve for most of this season. However, the victory never seemed in doubt, as United almost did not bother the stopper Robert Sanchez, while the result and all three points were uncertain for Brighton.
After entering the 1-0 range, an even more impressive game in the second half ensured that Brighton finished with a 4-0 winner. Fury, who watched the action from home, was sarcastic in his view of the game from United’s point of view.

In a short video uploaded to his Instagram story, Fury lamented, “I’m telling you what, it doesn’t matter that Gypsy King is retiring, what you say United, why the hell they’re not retiring – get out of here!”
The result ensures that United have made a more unwelcome story, as they have now conceded more goals in that term than in any other in their famous Premier League history. They also became the first team to score four goals for Brighton and were relegated to Watford in the same campaign.
Ralph Rangnik’s sixth team was the second best in duration and can now score just a maximum of 61 points this term – three fewer than they did in 2013-14, which began with David Moyes and ended with Ryan Giggs.

United’s performance is perhaps the worst of their miserable season – which includes 11 defeats – to highlight the level of work ahead of new manager Eric ten Haag.
A stunning win for unbridled Brighton was the first of nine home games to date from Boxing Day to boost their hopes of a first-round final in the first half of the Premier League. United were harassed from the start and it didn’t take long for chants to come out against the club’s owners from traveling support.
Shouts of “I love United, I hate Glazers” and “We want Glazers out” sounded in the early exchanges amid Brighton’s fierce start. No football in the Champions League next season is striking enough for a club of United’s stature, but there is every chance that it will sneak in even more.
If West Ham win at least two of their remaining three league games this season, the Hammers could leap ahead of United in sixth place – meaning the Red Devils will miss the Europa League and fall to seventh in the Conference League.
