Five people have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman’s body was found this morning.
Police were called to a ‘disturbance’ in Nuneaton in the early hours of today and found a woman dead at the scene.
The victim, believed to be in his 40s, has not been officially identified.
Two men and two women from the same Warwickshire town where the incident took place were arrested: a 34-year-old man; 40-year-old man; 43-year-old woman; and a 36-year-old woman.
A 32-year-old man of no fixed address was also detained.
All have been questioned by forensic experts on suspicion of murder.
Detective Superintendent Caroline Corfield said: “An investigation has been launched and we are working to establish the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death, which is currently unexplained.

“We are currently exploring a number of lines of inquiry as we try to build a picture of what happened.
“We would appeal to anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area on Friday night (August 12) and until approximately 1.15am this morning to please come forward.
“Also, if anyone has any concerns or information that could help, we would advise them to come forward and speak to one of our staff.
“There will be an increased police presence in the area and I would like to reassure the community that we are conducting a thorough investigation.
“Our thoughts are with the woman’s family and friends at this difficult time.”
