Fox News presenter Kilmeid says Trump is “upset” after losing the election

Fox News presenter Brian Kilmead said Sunday that former President Donald Trump was “upset” between losing his election in 2020 and January 6, 2021.

Kilmeid’s comments came during Fox News’s Media Buzz, when host Howard Kurtz released testimony given by former Deputy Attorney General Richard Donohue during a committee hearing on Thursday (January 6th). The hearing focuses on Trump’s alleged efforts to put pressure on Justice Department officials to help change the outcome of the 2020 presidential election.

Donohue testified that Trump asked him what he would do if he replaced former Acting Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen with Jeff Clark, who passed on Trump’s allegations about the 2020 election. Rosen said he told the president that “immediately resigned “and that” it doesn’t work for a minute for this man I just declared completely incompetent. “

Kurz pointed out that much of what came out at Thursday’s January 6 hearing was announced earlier – “So if you followed this, you knew these things.”

Donald Trump was “upset” between losing his election in 2020 and January 6, 2021, Fox News presenter Brian Kilmid said on Sunday. Above, the former president made remarks on Saturday during a rally to save America in Mendon, Illinois. Michael B. Thomas

“There are a lot of things going on behind the scenes that could have a counter-argument. For example, we all work for people or we work with people who sometimes get off the handle. You know you wait, you count to ten, you come back to them a little later. Now that you’re calm, what do you think? ”Kilmeid replied. “You hear that the president often works that way.

But Kilmaid later added that Trump was “hopeless during that period.”

“I interviewed him at West Point and he was kind enough to give me a few minutes. I’ve never seen him so angry – it was between the election and January 6. As soon as we finished, he just left.” said the host of Fox News.

“I’ve known him for 15 or 20 years before he went to the White House – I’ve never seen him so angry. So he is convinced that he was robbed, no doubt. But I have not seen any evidence and all these are gradual examples, “Kilmeid added.

Newsweek turned to Trump’s press office for comment.

In an interview Friday, Republican consultant and sociologist Frank Lunz told The Guardian that the former president’s grip on the Republican Party is waning as the Jan. 6 hearings continue.

“I see that people no longer drink Kool-Aid,” he said. “I see people moving away from Trump for the first time.
