Shoppers in major UK supermarkets such as Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, M&S, Lidl, ASDA, Tesco and Aldi are advised not to use strollers – experts say a simple change could save you £ 100 a year.
If you use a basket instead of a stroller, supermarket shoppers can’t carry that much and will therefore probably spend less.
The basket also means that buyers are more aware of what they are buying, as they do not have as much space as the cart, MEN reports.
Other changes to help you reduce your supermarket bill include accepting the “lower gear challenge.”
This means trying to replace branded goods with your own supermarket labels, as they are cheaper – this can save up to 30 percent.

If you spend £ 100 every week on food, you could save £ 30 – in four weeks you will have £ 120 in your pocket. Stick to cheaper brands and your total savings for one year can reach over £ 1,500.
Buyers are also advised to look down different paths, as they may be able to find cheaper versions of the same products in the World Foods section, for example.
As an example, previous research by MoneySavingExpert found that cotton buds can be 20 percent cheaper in the baby walkway.
Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Morrisons staff reveal what they want to say to buyers, but can’t remember Aldi, Tesco, Asda and more quickly remember chicken gouggings, pastries and other items
Herbs and spices can also be found for less than half the price in the World Food section.
Loyalty cards can also be a tool for saving money. Since you are free to register, these loyalty schemes give you your money back, usually in the form of points, every time you shop.
So, if you still spend money on this particular grocer, there is no point in not having a loyalty card.

Furious buyers from Iceland say they feel “cheated” by selling 400 1p items “My salaries no longer cover everything I have to pay due to rising bills”
Meanwhile, a Tesco Express grocery basket costs an average of £ 279 more in 12 months.
Yellow stickers are another great way to save money and reduce food waste.
The exact time at which each supermarket begins to reduce its products varies – get acquainted with the routine of your favorite store to know when to visit.
Finally, buyers are advised not to go to the supermarket on an empty stomach.
If your stomach is rumbling, you are more likely to take unwanted snacks that you don’t really need.
Try to shop on your own to avoid being influenced by other people in your decision to buy food.
